Learn About Our Professional Martial Arts Staff
Rather than tell you about our championships and black belt rankings, we would rather focus on you! Certainly we are proud of what our instructors accomplish, but we judge our success on your progress. That's why all martial arts instructors at Lee's Champion Taekwondo Academy continue to be students themselves. They take classes. They take seminars. They continually work to better themselves.
Most importantly, our instructors are here to set an example for the rest of our students. They show everyone what is possible with hard work and commitment. No one is born with a black belt; everyone must earn it. You can too; let us show you how!
How We Train Our Instructors at LCTA
All instructors, assistant instructors and Leadership Team Members at Lee's Champion Taekwondo Academy are trained to ensure that our martial arts classes are safe, effective and fun. They are required to complete an intensive martial arts leadership training class prior to teaching or assisting in the classroom. During these training classes, the focus is on more than just teaching martial arts skills. Instructors also learn how to work with all students, tailoring their martial arts teaching methods to fit the individual student. We emphasize encouragement and positive correction.
Our instructors are required to maintain their personal level of martial arts knowledge. Through weekly martial arts leadership training, instructors advance their own martial art and educational knowledge to become even more effective martial arts teachers. They are also expected to take classes on a regular basis and test at least once per year.
LCTA instructors are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student.
