Test Registration
Your application and test fee must be turned in at the same time. Registration deadline is 7:00pm two days before testing date (this is usually a Thursday for regular tests and Friday for makeup tests). There will be a $20 late fee after the deadline if the application and/or test fee are not turned in on time. Test applications must be returned to the Front Desk by the Registration Deadline--NO EXCEPTIONS! Please be sure to complete your test application neatly and completely.
Uniform & Gear
Students currently ranked Yellow Belt & above must bring their own sparring gear to the test. Students must wear their LCTA uniform for the test (school T-shirts are not allowed). Note: Minimum attendance of 2 sparring classes is required for each keup promotion test.
Color Belt Promotion Tests
When a student passes one promotion test they will move up in rank (example: from yellow belt to orange belt). After a student has passed three promotion tests covering all the forms and breaking techniques from their current level they will graduate to the next level (example: beginner to intermediate). The order of the forms and breaking techniques learned does not matter, only that the student has covered all three at his/her level.
Please click here for more information on our curriculum schedule and how we determine a student's readiness for testing.
